Parent module notification

Hi, I'm quite new in piwik and just started to support piwik outsourced project.
I met next situation: we have own plugin for data representation. Call it "Profiles" and plugin is rendered inside "CoreHome" plugin (see attach).

The question is, how could I modify "CoreHome" date picker from "Profiles" plugin?
